ZJ Long Arm Kits |
A note about patience, from Kevin, a man of *ultimate* patience...not. Folks, PLEASE do not make your life more difficult by scheduling your installation date until ALL of the parts and pieces show up on your doorstep. You laugh, but common sense is NOT common practice! I ask you this as a friend, as invariably, either the shipper, the vendor, or some other person involved will make an error and throw your plan into a tailspin. I get at least one e-mail a month from someone who got impatient and started doing an install, only to find out that they were missing something, or that a vendor was backordered, or the shipper lost the box, or something that throws off their schedule and their daily driver is now torn apart in the driveway, awaiting a part that's not to arrive for another few days. Don't be that guy...you don't have ANY need for that sort of stress, and there is little we can do on our end to assist you if you're in this predicament...except maybe pass along a recommendation for a good rental car company. PLEASE don't put yourself into this situation! Your loved-ones will thank me, lol. |

for a long arm kit, my friend!!! Long arm kits completely
re-establish more correct geometry for your leading and trailing
control arms, allowing a pillow-smooth ride over paved highways
and offroad trails alike, as well as articulation galore. Imagine "floating" over the
sections of washboard road that used to make your entire Jeep
shake and chatter. By re-establishing new control arm
locations and fitting your ZJ with longer control arms, the
energy of the road imperfections are now transmitted directly
into the springs and shock absorbers, where
they belong...rather
than being transmitted up the short lower and upper stock control arms,
due to the poorly-placed control arm mounts on the "frame" for
anything more than around 2.5-3.0" of lift. You'll not
BELIEVE the ride quality difference between long arms and short
arms, and these packages also include an upgraded crossmember
and optional transfer case skid plate
for offroad drivers who find themselves belly-up on rocks, as
well as a triangulation
of the rear axle upper control arms so
that there is no need to run a rear track bar, which was
necessary on earlier models, and makes the Jeep rock
side-to-side when you hit speed-bumps on rigs lifted more than
around 4". A perfect upgrade for
these kits is to add on a beefy upgraded front anti-sway bar (available below) to allow more
precise cornering as well as a quicker response to your steering
input through the steering wheel.

All "Bare-Bones" kits come with the following items: New control arm mounts, eight new adjustable-length control arms, a rear triangulated upper arm assembly, a new beefy crossmember, and addresses Death Wobble issues. You will need to source your own springs, shocks, track bar, etc, and are good from 4">8" of lift. |

All "Packaged" kits come with EVERYTHING in the "Bare-Bones" kits above, and also include the following add-ons: an adjustable front track bar and drop bracket, four new 6" lift coil springs, JKS anti-sway bar disconnects, and a lifetime warranty against bending the control arms. This suspension product requires welding it onto and/or modifications to your vehicle's frame. For your safety as well and to ensure the system's durability and optimum performance it is recommended that installation is performed by an experienced and qualified welder or 4x4 shop.
